Foolproof Fall Skincare Routine!

Updated: Oct 1, 2023

As autumn is fast approaching, it is time to tweak your skincare routine and adapt your skin to the changing weather.

Autumn, or as I like to call it, the red season, is one of my favorites. The whole vibe, the colors, the excitement of Halloween, the rustle of the leaves— oh I, it’s all so beautiful.

However, autumn is not a great season for the skin. I am sure you must’ve experienced breakouts, redness, dullness, and even dry patches on your skin as soon as the leaves start falling.

That’s why you need to tweak your skincare regimen a bit so that you can have flawless skin all year round!

Secrets To Flawless Skin In Fall

Changing your skincare routine as per each season helps a lot in keeping your skin well-balanced and healthy.

Autumn is one of the most dangerous seasons for skin, but don’t worry, because these few changes will keep your skin looking as radiant as ever!

  • Use Gentle Exfoliators

Yes, the skin does get dry in autumn but that doesn’t mean that you skip your exfoliation. Exfoliating your skin is super important to keep it fresh and hydrated.

You should, however, try to use gentler chemical exfoliants rather than scrubs. For instance, using any gentle AHA (Mandelic Acid, for example) will help you keep your skin smooth and radiant.

This gentle exfoliant will get rid of all the dry and flaky skin and bring out soft, rejuvenated skin.

  • Add Oils To Your Routine

To get rid of the dryness in your skin, and add more moisture, introducing oils to your skincare regimen is the best way to go!

Not only would it make your skin’s texture yummy in the short run, but it will also improve moisture retention in your ski run.

You can check out some multi-oil blends to suit your skin type, and if you have some skin issues, you can choose essential oils to treat them on the way too!

  • Say Hello to VIT C & SPF

I cannot stress enough how badly your skin needs vitamin C and good sunscreen.

Not only would it brighten up your skin and make your skin feel more nourished and hydrated, but it will also keep your skin protected from free radicals.

Switch to a Thicker Moisturizer

Your moisturizer plays a vital role in your skincare routine. It makes or breaks it, and since autumn causes your skin to dry up more than usual, it is better to switch to a heavier moisturizer.

This will help keep your skin smooth, soft, and hydrated at all times.

  • It’s A Wrap

Wrapping it up, I would like to recommend that you follow a simple skincare routine and not experiment on your skin with different products.

The best way to achieve flawless skin in fall is to just keep it hydrated, so drink loads of water and keep moisturizing!
